Constitution of a Monitoring Group for implementation of the recommendations of
the All India Whips' Conference.
NO.F.2(1)/97-R&C - In pursuance of the unanimous recommendation made by the Twelfth All India Whips' Conference held at Srinagar in August, 1997, it has been decided to constitute a Monitoring Group to watch the progress of implementation of recommendations of the Twelfth All India Whips' Conference and the views expressed in its plenary sessions.
The
Monitoring Group will be constituted as under:

The Monitoring Group may with the
approval of the Chairman:-
(a)
Divide
itself into various Study Groups;
(b)
Obtain
information relevant for their purpose from the Central Government, the State
Governments, the Administrations of the Union Territories and other authorities,
organizations or individuals as they may consider necessary.
(c)
Hold their sittings or the sittings of Study
Groups at such times and such places as may be determined by the Chairman; and
(d)
Co-opt
any person necessary to facilitate their deliberations or deliberations of
Study Groups, if any.
The Headquarters of the Monitoring Group will be the
Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Parliament House, New Delhi-110001.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs shall provide
secretarial assistance to the Monitoring Group and the Study Groups, if any.
The Monitoring Group will finalise its Report within
a period of one year from the date of its first sitting.
