YOUTH PARLIAMENT SCHEME

YOUTH PARLIAMENT COMPETITION IN THE SCHOOLS RUN/RECOGNISED BY GOVERNMENT OF N.C.T. OF DELHI.

Introduction

The Youth Parliament Competition was introduced for the first time in the country in the Higher Secondary Schools of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in 1966-67 by this Ministry in collaboration with the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi. Since, then, these competitions have been held every year in the Higher/Senior Secondary Schools in Delhi. A Prize Distribution Function is organised by the Ministry at the conclusion of the competition each year at which Prize Winning Schools and individual students and teachers-in-charge are given certificates and medals/trophies. The School standing first is given the Pandit Motilal Nehru Running Parliamentary Shield instituted by this Ministry.
